History: Dakota`s parents met at a bar where her mom (Kat) danced at. Kat and Josh (her dad) dated for a week before Kat found out that she was pregnant. When Dakota was born her dad left her and her mother and married another woman when Dakota was 1 year old. He never visited her but when she was 13 he sent her a letter telling her about his new life with his wife and two kids. She read it and burst into tears, feeling alone and depressed. Her mother was a dancer at a bar and a alcoholic, she would sometimes never come home to their crappy little apartment for days and Dakota would have to take care of herself. They where very poor and couldn't afford very much. No one ever knew about what was happening and Dakota was always quiet about it. She studied a lot in school and got very good report cards, but her mother didn't care. When Dakota turned 13 her mother got pregnant again, but the baby didn't`t make it, and that made her mother drink more and stay away from home more. So Dakota tried extra hard in school to try and get a scholarship to another school so she could leave her old life and start a new one. She applied for Ridge Way and got a scholarship, she was thrilled. when she told her mom, all she said was, You have to find your own way there. So Dakota did and made it too Ridge Way.

Personality: Dakota is a very shy and independent person. She grew up most of her life without a family and that made her very responsible.
